are churches allowed to endorse constitutional initiatives?

Absolutely! Churches are not allowed to endorse candidates for political office, but they are free to lobby for, endorse, and spend money on legislation and state referenda.

For more information, we are providing two documents from the Alliance Defense Fund explaining what 501(c)(3) churches may and may not do without jeopardizing their tax-exempt status.

Life for Montana urges the churches of Montana to do what they can to support the adoption of CI-100 into our state constitution. Please offer your endorsement below and tell your congregations about one of the most important initiatives this state has ever considered.
